Mission Statement for Electro Model Flyers
The principle object of forming a new club in San Diego is to create a organization that represents the interests of it’s members in the area of electric powered model aviation. The main areas of interest include but are not limited to the following:
- Indoor RC flying—including sport, microlight, scale, aerobatics, rotor craft and pylon racing.
- Outdoor RC flying—including sport, scale, aerobatic, pylon racing and electric powered soaring.
- Support discussion of technical aspects related to building and flying electric powered models.
- The club will also reach out to local schools and universities to offer mentoring and technical assistance in model aviation related activities where possible.
- The club will sponsor flying events from time to time to showcase and promote the various areas of interest.
- Periodic meetings would be hosted featuring experts in the various areas of interest.
- Host contests and special events to help promote camaraderie and enjoyment of the hobby.

- Promote the art, sport, utility, and scientific study of kiting for all ages.
- Facilitate coordination and planning kiting activities.
- Maintain historic records of kite clubs activities.
- Seek interchange with kite clubs internationally.
